TOP 5 NETFLIX SHOWS FOR COUPLES
- Let's get comfy on the couch -

My week nights usually consist of one of the following: Netflix shows or reading a good book to relax. If I don't forget time and space while writing blog posts or edit videos, I usually end up snuggling up on the sofa or in bed. And I tried it all: Amazon was great but somehow limited. Netflix opened up a whole new world for me. I know, I know, I'm a bit late on the whole thing, but to be honest, I didn't think it was worth the money - until I tried it out myself. I love that they have most of my all-time favorite movies but also so many amazing Netflix original series that Sebastian and I get caught up in and many times pass our bedtime by far (so worth it though!). So today I thought to share some of our favorite series and hopefully you will find your new favorite.
HOUSE OF CARDS - political drama (currently 4 seasons available)
Do I even need to say more? Sebastian and I are currently hooked on this one. We just got done with season one. While writing this I seriously can't wait to find out tonight what season two holds in store (Shhh...no spoilers in the comments please).
"It is intense & will pull you in entirely."
Frank Underwood aka Kevin Spacey (This show must be good if he's in it. - He is brilliant) is a powerful congressman in the U.S. Through manipulation he gets whatever he desires on his way to the top of the American government. Until one day, he doesn't. Frank wouldn't be Frank though, if he didn't have an ace up his sleeve.

HOMELAND - political thriller (5 seasons)
Now, there is really no order in which I'm presenting these shows. If there was, Homeland would have been on the top of my list. Sebastian and I loved every second of this political thriller TC show. Unfortunately, we watched all of the five seasons and are now waiting for the sixth season very impatiently. But what is it all about you ask? We follow around Carrie Mathison aka Claire Danes, a CIA agent with a bipolar disorder who tries to uncover conspiracies as well as prevent terrorist attacks in the US, Germany and the Middle East.
PRISON BREAK - drama (4 seasons)
It's been a while since we watched Prison Break, never the less it was a great show! Unfortunately, only four seasons were produced plus one movie that served as a final to the series. I didn't enjoy the movie as much, as they are then trying to break out the love interest of one of the main characters and i just seemed a tiny bit stretched. However, a fifth season starring the characters several year after the end of season four will air on April 4th, which I just found out and am very excited about!
"A genius mind that will keep you entertained."
It's about a guy who is sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit. With the help of (new found) friends and his own genius he tries to break out of prison and to clear his name.

ORPHAN BLACK - science fiction thriller (4 seasons)
A Netflix original that surprised us for the better, to say the least. The series focuses on Sarah Manning, who is one of many clones and who tries to find out how and why she and her siblings were created. It raises ethical implications of human cloning.
For us, it's fascinating to see the talented actress Tatiana Maslany, of whom I've never heard of before, switch into all these different characters, as she plays all the clones herself.
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER - drama (1 season)
HTGAWM just became available on Netflix. However, I strongly recommend you to watch it as I'm sure you'll be just as hooked as we are. Obviously, we are a little further down watching it now, as there are already three seasons out. I remember first reading the series title - I was immediately interested. Talented Viola Davis playing the role of Annalise Keating is a law professor who is caught up in a murder plot with 5 of her best students. Now, it's getting juicy, but you'll have to watch to find out more.
As you can tell, Sebastian and I only seem to agree on thrillers and drama series, as I can rarely convince him to watch a chick flick (although he sometimes does for the sake of keeping me happy - he is such a keeper!) If you and your boy have somehow the same interests as us then hopefully, you are now eager to get started on your new favorite TV shows. Before you start your #NetflixAndChill marathon, please let me know your favorite series in the comments down below. I'm always on the hunt for new, exiting shows.
